T.Y. Lin International's Falmouth, Maine office is seeking a Project Manager to manage bridge projects. The position requires management and experience in bridge design, project management and team leadership with excellent communication skills. The engineering duties include planning and scheduling of engineering work, managing project teams, client contacts, and supervising project design.
Development and execution of overall business plan objectives within the office;
Works with marketing and business development staff to ensure the procurement of work for the office is consistent with the goals and objectives for the office and the Company;
Supervising and manages projects with multi-discipline teams and client relationships;
Single point of contact for all client communications;
Project budget and schedule controls;
CPM Scheduling;
Earned Value Analysis;
Develops structural project WBS (work breakdown structure);
Quality assurance;
Supervises the development of design concepts and reports;
Client meetings regarding prospective project opportunities;
Proposal writing and interview presentations;
Participation in outside professional organizations;
Evaluates and assures the group's experience and competency in technical areas and project management functions;
Directing and mentoring deputy or assistant project managers and project engineers;
Develops, executes, and monitors training and personal development plans for assigned employees and is responsible for the success of these employees within the organization;
Provides mentoring assistance;
Coordinates activities with other project managers;
Provides guidance and technical contributions regarding project design and details;
Prepare construction documents in accordance with applicable design codes, and
Other assignments as needed.
Must have 10 years or more experience in project management and bridge engineering in ME and/or VT and/or MA. Must have professional engineering licensure with the ability to obtain licensure in ME, VT, MA, and NH within six months of hire.Candidate must demonstrate effective leadership, as well as the ability to prepare comprehensive engineering reports. Must possess excellent communication skills.
