Description: Looking for a Business Analyst with a strong technical background with respect to data. The work done in this group is very data intensive. Candidates must have demonstrated experience analyzing data, working with the databases, writing complex SQL queries, strong documentation skills, and experience participating in JAD sessions. In this role the BA will work directly with the technical developers and must understand the technical side of things, as well as translate the technical terms and work with the business. In this role the BA will act as the liaison between the technical team and the business, and will be involved in all meetings. The BA will meet with the business to gather requirements and document the requirements. The BA will be required to produce a lot of detailed documentation - business requirements documents, technical specifications, data mapping requirements, etc. Candidates should be comfortable with, and understand the concepts of Business Objects or Crystal Reports , and dimensional data models (star schemas).

Required to understand new business requirements, conduct business analysis. Must have knowledge of products and systems process in order to define and document business systems requirements for business unit. Ensure systems deliverable are met. Provide consultation as required through project life cycle. Collaborate with business leaders, IT groups and vendors to ensure issues communicated clearly and accurately.
The Business Systems Analyst will take a leadership role in working with and liaising with business partners to provide research, analysis and documentation of business process improvement opportunities and business requirements.
o Effectively identify, define and document detailed business and system requirements with the involvement of business subject matter experts utilizing the system development life cycle (SDLC) methodology. Translate requirements into functional specification, including process flow and data model documents.
o Integrate technical solutions with the business environment, recognizing systems interdependencies, reusability and ensuring seamless delivery.
o Ensure system deliverables meet business requirements by participating in identifying, designing and testing solutions. Ensure requirements integrity by managing changes to requirements.
o Contribute to the development of project plans by providing input to project charters, project deliverables, cost/benefits analysis, time line estimates, scope and control.
o Assist with the prioritization of initial feature development and ongoing change requests.
o Assist in translating requirements into test conditions and expected results for product, performance, and user acceptance testing.
o Solid research and analysis skills as well as knowledge of Data Warehousing is required. Experience with total project life cycle and related methodologies is a must.
MUST HAVES:
-Data profiling experience
-Strong experience writing system requirements
-Strong organizational & communication skills
-proficiency in querying with SQL
-working knowledge of datawarehousing concepts
-working knowledge of data integration
Preferred:
-business objects development experience would be helpful.
