Summary:
We are looking for a strong, experienced Project Manager with hands on project management experience, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. In this role, you will be managing at least 3-5 projects at various stages of the PMLC.
Candidates must be extremely strong with MS Project experience building out detailed project schedules (average size is 500 lines) with detailed task level plans. Candidates will be required to do detailed resource and budget forecasting on a weekly basis, as well as generate detailed reports.

This project manager will lead and manage data management and reporting projects in support of multiple Lines of Business while professionally representing USTS Technologies, Information Management.
He/she is responsible for delivering project objectives and meeting all key performance indicators. He/she also ensures that changes to the project scope are in line with the business focus and/or legal and regulatory mandates, and that the context of the project, including risks, is actively managed in alignment with business goals. Ability to work independently and communicate at multiple levels of the business (both internal and external to Information Technology) is crucial. He/she must demonstrate the ability to work with Subject Matter Experts and Technical Leads to translate business and legal requirements into an actionable project plan - following SDLC processes - including all related project artifacts.

Responsibilities:
Applies standard project management methodologies (e.g., PMI) to lead and manage initiatives involving data deliverables within the PMLC and SDLC framework.
Effectively manage competing priorities across multiple projects and resources (including SOW-based staff).
Demonstrates ability to identify and assess risks (including staffing, budget, scope, etc.), as well as to produce and execute proper mitigation strategies to minimize said risks.
Ability to translate business and legal requirements into a technical project plan with clear scope, timelines and financial forecasts. Must exercise solid financial and scope management discipline in accordance with change management/controls processes.
Identifies areas for continual process improvement and process reengineering. Proactively creates forward-looking solutions.
Champions a culture of partnership with key lines of business and technology partners to ensure standards are embraced by staff and business partners.
Demonstrate ability to communicate key project deliverables, scope changes, and risks to key stakeholders in a timely fashion to present options/issues and secure strategic direction.
Ensures that own work, as well as work of any employees supervised, is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies located on Company intranet. Policies include but are not limited to Fair Lending, Know Your Customer, Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering policies.
Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will have an appropriate blend of progressively responsible business or consulting experience.
Demonstrated track record of results with at least 6-8 years work experience and at least 2-3 year of direct project management experience.
Experience with large corporations or in management consulting preferably in banking/financial services e.g., retail/commercial banking, risk, information management.
Exceptional problem solving skills issue identification, problem structuring, 80-20 analysis, development of actionable recommendations.
Strong understanding of and experience in implementing information management initiatives in large organizations.
Strong analytical skills
Excellent executive communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to advocate business requirements and needs through the solution design, development and implementation.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong team player, able to forge good working relationships across the organization.
Familiarity with technology development lifecycles (SDLC and PMLC) and an ability to interface with cross-functional technology teams effectively.
MUST HAVE:
- 5 years of PM Experience strong IT PM experience.
- Strong MS Project advanced skills really need to be skilled in this area
- Strong SDLC experience
- Previous experience with technology projects. (Should be very evident on the candidates resume)
- Financial/banking experience
Candidates must have experience with resource planning within a matrixed organization.
Candidates must be able work independently and have great conflict resolution experience.
Outstanding communication, customer service, and negotiation skills are required.
Candidates must also be very collaborative and able to work in a team atmosphere. Candidates should be able to ask for, and provide, critical feedback when necessary
All candidates must be willing and able to become permanent employees of our client if offered the opportunity (without sponsorship).
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience in a very data intensive environment.
Data warehousing experience is ideal.
- PMP certification would be a nice to have. .
Soft Skills:
This candidate should have very strong communication (written & verbal skills) They should have a strong ability to take initiative and work independently. Will need to have ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate well with other groups in the bank.
Team Culture & Success Profile:
This team is mostly all onsite and a tight knit team; everyone works very closely together. The last two candidates hired for a similar role had strong technology project management experience and strong MS Project skills. They had great overall experience and have worked on large projects in the past and really knew how to manage a project well. These last two candidates were very successful and had all of the must have and nice to have skills for this role.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
