Job Description
Makes outbound customer calls via the telephone as well as an automated dialer to negotiate payment arrangements to reduce delinquency on accounts OR take inbound customer phone calls to negotiate payment arrangements on multipole stages of delinquency as well as to resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
Mitigates losses through designated extension and/or re-age authority, settlement offers, and by working with homeowners and realtors to negotiate short-sales, died-in-lieu or cash-for-keys, etc.
Identifies candidates and initiates process for loss mitigation programs outside delegated areas of authority.
Completes skip-tracing steps as required.
Adds, changes, and deletes information in multiple system screens within multiple systems.
Serves as entry point for the identification, routing and documentation of all pertinent collection support processes (I.E.: modifications, bankruptcy, skip-tracing, etc.).
Complies with all pertinent department/division procedures as outlined in operating instructions.
Meets minimum individual and departmental goals and service level agreements.
Suggests changes or modifications to policies and procedures to supervisor based on day-to-day observations and activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year's customer service or collection experience (For internal associates, 6 month's collection experience and a current rolling 90 day ADS rating of 3.5+)
Computer proficient.
Proven ability to stay focused in a continuous process flow and keep pace within the work team.
Superior verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent interpersonal and motivation skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle change.
Displayed sense of ownership in relation to attitude and actions, assignments and event outcomes.
