Job Description o Develop and drive an internal and external communications strategy positioning TD Bank as an employer of choice supporting the organization's focus on growth and building top talent in the U.S.
o Manage communications on behalf of the EVP - Head of Human Resources.
o Manage two direct reports and partner with CAPA relationship managers in the U.S. and Canada to advance the Bank's Human Resources priorities.
o Strategically manage corporate issues to protect and enhance TD Bank's brand and reputation - anticipate issues, develop strategic messaging and oversee media relations efforts.
o Drive an integrated editorial strategy using both traditional and digital channels to build employee engagement and to stimulate discussion on key topics.
o Provide strategic communications counsel to business partners on a wide variety of topics and issues.
o Plan and execute enterprise-wide communications that provide strategic direction and motivate leaders and employees.
o Write and edit compelling materials using crisp, clear language relevant to the intended audiences including executive communications, speeches, key messages, articles and presentations.
o Build a measurement dashboard to validate progress against key program goals to drive employee engagement and generate increased traffic to the company's digital channels, including the employee intranet site and our internal Connections digital channel.

Qualifications o Superior ability to provide strategic communications counsel to senior leaders.
o Minimum of 10 years of media relations and corporate communications expertise.
o Demonstrated experience developing and executing internal communication strategies and effective media relations programs.
o Exceptional writing skills and the ability to develop materials that will make an impact.
o Demonstrated project management skills, change management expertise and an ability to partner with and influence individuals and cross-functional teams.
o Strong judgment skills with a demonstrated ability to examine issues from multiple angles, think critically and bring solutions.
o Demonstrated business and communications acumen and knowledge of TD Bank strategy and stakeholders.
o Collaborative communications professional with the ability to lead a team and develop talent through coaching and mentoring.
o Communications expertise for a corporate or in a consulting environment.
o Thorough understanding of communication theory and best practices.
o Demonstrated experience in exercising judgment in dealing with sensitive situations and in providing communication counsel to executives.
o Superior attention to detail and organizational skills and an ability to deliver high quality work under pressure.
o Self-starter with high energy.
o Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
o Previous experience with employee communications, human resources communications or financial services would be an asset.
o Bachelor's degree in communications, liberal arts, marketing, business or related field.
o Master's degree in communications, business or a related field would be a plus.
