Job Description The Sr. Information Analyst (Product Information Analyst III) role is responsible for implementing data strategies and providing data support for production reporting, analytics, self-service cubes and financial reconciliations for the Retail Money In (Deposits) team.
Job Requirements ? Design, redesign and develop extensions to or new internal data repositories used for end-user reporting and analytics including production reports, ad hoc analytics and OLAP cubes
? Build efficient processes for movement and transformation of data between data sources and internal repositories according to business partners and management requirements
? Performs technical analysis of data for use in design of internal data repositories, integration processes and projects requiring analytics support
? Conducts internal data repository reconciliations by proactively identifying unusual trends and thoroughly researching variances, using both audience-based technical and nontechnical terminology to make recommendations to management and business partners
? Monitor team scheduled production jobs and trouble shoot/escalate when appropriate
? Proactively enhance the understanding of our customer base leveraging data and work directly with management & internal business partners to reduce speed to market, improve accuracy and provide more robust data for analytics
? Execute on data strategies & strategic direction based on the analytics team roadmap and management feedback
? Partner with technology & project business partners to ensure team awareness of upcoming software, hardware and data source changes as well as assist in driving out a stake holder philosophy by leading development of support matrixes, escalation processes, tracking team technology issues, lead testing for technology changes etc.
? Assist with applicable ad hoc analytics as appropriate
Qualifications ? Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related discipline with at least 5 years of related experience; retail banking and/or business analyst experience preferred
o Excellent knowledge of databases and demonstrated experience in datamart development including SQL and/or SAS programming skills
? Well versed in data best practices including but not limited to: efficient querying techniques, logical database building and design, troubleshooting databases, validation of results, reconciliation of data sources against production reports and process documentation
? Ability to synthesize information from multiple data sources and large data sets with the goal of creating new or modifying existing data repositories/reports when the current data repositories/reports do not meet business needs
? Strong communication skills --both verbal and written-- with the ability to translate technical information enabling business partners and management to make meaningful informed decisions and business recommendations
? Self-starter with an inquisitive mind interested in referencing data to solve for strategic solutions
? Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment reacting quickly to requests and changing requirements
? Proven ability to work independently and as part of the team while buildings solid partnerships with both internal and external business partners
